ESRI Certified GIS Workshop: Working with ArcView Spatial Analyst

8:00 am -- 5:00 pm, March 22 - 24, 2003

Room 103, Building 46

Tuition: $1050

Course Content

This three-day course explores how this ArcView GIS software extension allows the use of raster and vector data in an integrated environment. The course teaches basic raster concepts and introduces GIS models. It emphasizes problems that are best solved in a raster environment, such as surface analysis and distance measurement. Class participants learn to use the raster tools in the ArcView Spatial Analyst extension, how to convert between feature- and grid-based themes, and how to access additional functionality by issuing Avenue requests with the Map Calculator. Prerequisites: No programming experience is required, although registrants should be familiar with ArcView GIS software.

Upon completion of the course, each participant will receive an ArcView Spatial Analyst workshop certificate directly issued from ESRI.
